Imagine for a moment the blue skies in deep summer or trees being gently blown by the accompanying breeze. Surely such things are too wonderful to comprehend fully.

Now imagine an existence with little to no food; no place to sleep except on the dark and dangerous streets; excruciating pains from a lack of nourishment; the threat of rape, torture and abandonment- all on a daily basis.

This description of life for many of the orphans in Sierra Leone (and other regions of the globe) is a reality. Poverty, hunger, disease, abandonment, (the list continues) have replaced their blue skies.
